The Manchester Community Resource Center (MCRC) is a small 501c3 nonprofit located within Manchester’s federally designated Neighborhood Revitalization Strategy Area (NRSA). As one of the original projects conceived in 1998 through the US Department of Health and Human Services Empowerment Zones/Enterprise Communities, MCRC has been actively collaborating with the City Departments since its inception. MCRC played a vital role with the Department of Justice Weed and Seed Strategy as Manchester developed and implemented a community safety plan with a strong emphasis on neighborhood revitalization and economic development.
MCRC assists low to moderate income individuals, new Americans, people with disabilities, individuals with limited English proficiency, families receiving public assistance, and/or individuals facing multiple barriers with accessing resources to aid in achieving their financial and personal goals. Services are designed to assist in improving the overall standard of living by providing access to employment, education, life skills training, information, referrals, care coordination and other supportive services including notary, copying, scanning, faxing and access to public computers – equipped with the internet, resume writing software, typing tutorial, on-line career exploration and MSOFFICE.
