MCRC in conjunction with the City of Manchester operated the Summer Youth Employment Program. A six week employment and training program that targeted 25 of Manchester's at risk young adults, ages 15 - 24 years. The program combined 6 hours per week of instructor-led basic academics, team building exercises, leadership skills training and job readiness skills training with 18 hours per week of job skills training. A city beautification component provided the job readiness, work maturities and specific skills training. Projects were identified through the Parks & Recreation Department.
